Family Home Gives Eric $310K Equity in 3 Years

Challenge: Eric came to Agenzia looking to purchase his first property on behalf of his family. This meant he needed to stay within his children’s school catchment zone, a minimum of 4 bedrooms and a property within budget. He had never purchased before and no experience dealing with a mortgage broker, solicitor or real estate agent.

Solution: Eric worked with Anthony to source a 4-bedroom single contract off-the-plan townhouse in a high performing location, Taigum in North Brisbane. This allowed Eric to purchase under the First Home Buyer threshold, saved on transfer duty concessions and keep his kids in the same school. Through’s Anthony’s relationship with the developer, Eric was able to pay a 5% deposit at contract exchange and avoid mortgage repayments until settlement to increase savings.

Eric worked with Agenzia’s recommended broker and solicitor based in QLD, to access all eligible grants and concessions including the $25,000 HomeBuilder Grant.

Results: After a few delays in construction, Eric settled on his property with an instant $135,000 equity uplift in late 2022. The current estimated market appraisal on the townhouse is $750,000 in 2023, giving Eric $310,000 in equity in under 3 years.
